IVS has teamed up with Bio Bio Expeditions to offer you a trip of a lifetime. Because of their extensive experience Bio Bio is responsible for the planning and implementation of the complete trip. We begin our 8th  IVS/Bio Bio Costa Rica adventure in San Jose. Then we fly to world-famous Corcovado National Park and the Cano Island Biological Reserve.

Corcovado is a paradise of tropical wilderness and beaches, catalogued by the National Geographic Society as “one of the most biologically intense places on Earth!” It has truly spectacular wildlife, including many species of monkeys, crocodiles, exotic parrots, toucans, and an incredible diversity of species. Resident naturalists lead several hiking and boat excursions which are included in the trip price.

Cano Island has beautiful snorkeling and scuba. Exciting day trips to view pods of wild dolphins can also be arranged.

Our accommodations in Corcovado will be the spectacular Copa De Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort Lodge.

After leaving Copa De Arbol, we travel up the west coast to the beautiful Savegre River Valley, where we stay at the Rafiki Jungle Lodge, which is patterned after deluxe Africa Wildlife Lodges. During our stay at Rafiki, you can do hiking with a naturalist, horseback riding, bird and wildlife watching, or an optional whitewater raft trip on the exciting Savegre River.

Then we travel to the beautiful coastal town of Manuel Antonio, where we stay at the exclusive La Mariposa Hotel. You’ll have time to explore the lovely beaches or do a host of multi-sport day adventures there.
