  • “Perhaps I wasn’t clear” A discussion of the importance of client communication in Dermatology 

  • “I Won’t do that again: When to rethink management of your dermatology cases” A discussion with case examples of when to recognize it is time to stop the current treatment plan and change management

  • “Differentiating canine allergic skin disease” A discussion of canine allergic dermatoses and some facts and tidbits that may help differentiate one type of allergy from another.

  • “Treating pyoderma: it’s just not what it used to be” A discussion of how treating pyoderma has changed in the last decade, and the new challenges we face with resistant infections

  • ” One of these things is not like the other” A case based discussion of patients with similar clinical presentations, but different diseases.

  • “the itchy/overgrooming cat” my own nightmare on elm street! How to evaluate and formulate a differential diagnosis and diagnostic plan for the itchy/overgrooming cat.

  • “Why is my dog going bald” A discussion of alopecia in the dog, how to evaluate the patient and work it up for a definitive diagnosis

  • “The persistent ear infection: a recurring nightmare” We all deal with the ear infection that seems to go away, only to come right back. What does this mean? And how do we deal with the patient and the owner?

Dermatology on the spot…..or “stump” the dermatologist. The dermatologists will present unknown cases to each other, and they will “work them up” live with audience participation.

Our favorite things. The panel of dermatologists will discuss some of their favorite topical products and favorite systemic medications and how they use them.

Room Description

The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, a Palm Springs hotel provide guests with an array of accommodations. Our Palm Springs hotel rooms feature nine different guestroom experiences. Our traditional guestrooms are 525 square feet with a private balcony. Group Run of House room rate: $269.00 dbl per night plus taxes & fees

*Run of House means the best available room at the time of check-in.

Additional Fees (subject to change without notice):

  • State and local taxes are currently 13.25%
  • Business Improvement Development Assessment fee is currently 2%
  • $18.00 per room, per night, plus tax resort fee.  The Westin has discounted the resort fee for our group.  Normally the resort Charge is $35 per day plus tax.  The Resort Charge includes: in room high speed internet access (wired or wireless), complimentary self parking, fitness center and tennis court access, day use of Spa facilities; steam room, whirlpool, relaxation room, renewal refresh & shower, 15% Off merchandise from the Pete Dye Pro Shop, 15% Off Tennis Court Fees and merchandise from the Pro Shop.
  • The hotel rates above are based on single or double occupancy.  For additional adults (anyone over the age of 18yrs) staying in the room, with a max of 4 people per room, there is an additional fee of $35 per night, per additional person.

Cancellations: Because it is high season in Palm Springs, you will be charged for 2 nights room and tax if you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled arrival.  No-shows will be charged for their complete scheduled stay.  

An early departure fee of one night’s room rate will apply if a guest checks out prior to the confirmed check-out date. 

Late check-outs are solely at the discretion of the hotel and are based on availability on the day of check-out.  Guests staying in their rooms beyond the check-out time without the Resort’s authorization will be charged a one night’s penalty.
