There are constant advancements in veterinary dermatology, resulting in the need for the speakers to present clinical updates. For this new seminar, I have asked the dermatologists to discuss the topics that are of clinical importance to the general practitioner today. This combination of practicing dermatologists is sure to present you with valuable information that you can utilize on a daily basis.

“Perhaps I wasn’t clear” A discussion of the importance of client communication in Dermatology
“I Won’t do that again: When to rethink management of your dermatology cases” A discussion with case examples of when to recognize it is time to stop the current treatment plan and change management
“Differentiating canine allergic skin disease” A discussion of canine allergic dermatoses and some facts and tidbits that may help differentiate one type of allergy from another.
“Treating pyoderma: it’s just not what it used to be” A discussion of how treating pyoderma has changed in the last decade, and the new challenges we face with resistant infections
” One of these things is not like the other” A case based discussion of patients with similar clinical presentations, but different diseases.
“the itchy/overgrooming cat” my own nightmare on elm street! How to evaluate and formulate a differential diagnosis and diagnostic plan for the itchy/overgrooming cat.
“Why is my dog going bald” A discussion of alopecia in the dog, how to evaluate the patient and work it up for a definitive diagnosis
“The persistent ear infection: a recurring nightmare” We all deal with the ear infection that seems to go away, only to come right back. What does this mean? And how do we deal with the patient and the owner?
Dermatology on the spot…..or “stump” the dermatologist. The dermatologists will present unknown cases to each other, and they will “work them up” live with audience participation.
Our favorite things. The panel of dermatologists will discuss some of their favorite topical products and favorite systemic medications and how they use them.
This seminar is AAVSB RACE approved for 16 CE hrs.
