Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for the seminar?

Registration is simple.

  • Go to the registration page for the seminar you are interested in.  You will be able to register online and receive e-mail confirmation of your registration.

or call 1 (800) 487-5650 and speak to one of our agents.

How do I book a room at the hotel?

Hotel registration is simple.

International Veterinary Seminars holds group space at each venue and handles the bookings. You can either book your hotel reservations at the same time you book your seminar, or you can do them separately, whichever you prefer.

Click on the orange accommodations tab for your selected seminar then scroll to the bottom and click on the orange Book Accommodations button.

Please note, if you need a room outside the seminar dates we will have to confirm availability with the hotel. Also, all hotel bookings done through our website are not automatic and require some processing time. Once your reservations have been confirmed, you will receive a hotel confirmation letter from IVS thru email. If you prefer fax or mail just let us know.

Please check that the details are correct.

All hotels require a credit card to guarantee or a deposit to confirm a booking.

All hotels have cut-off dates for acceptance of the bookings and sometimes sell out before our seminar discount cut-offs, so early registration is always advised.

Our agents are always available to answer any questions including assisting you with hotel and seminar confirmations. We can be reached at 1-800-487-5650 Mon.-Fri., 9am – 5pm PST.

What is the seminar registration cancellation policy?

10% of the registration fee is non-refundable. If you cancel outside of 30 days prior to the start of the seminar, you can choose a refund of the remaining 90% or you can choose a Future Transfer Credit (FTC). If you cancel within 30 days, only a Future Transfer Credit is given. FTC’s are good towards any of our future seminars and do not expire.
You must contact our office and a get a cancellation number prior to the start of the seminar. If you call after the start of the seminar to cancel, you will forfeit your seminar registration fee.

Where can I find more information on the resort and the area?

We have provided hyperlinks throughout the web site, on the right side of the accommodations page for each seminar location. You can also call our office at tel:1-800-487-5650  with your questions.

Are the seminars tax deductible?

Expenses associated with attendance at a CE seminar are usually tax-deductible. Always consult your tax advisor about CE seminars.

Why don’t you list the schedule for each hour of the seminar?

IVS has structured the seminars to allow the maximum interaction between the speakers and the participants. The less formal structure allows a more free-flowing presentation. All topics listed will be presented during the seminar.

What is the normal number of attendees?

IVS specializes in small group seminars – usually less than 80 people at each seminar. Most Veterinarians enjoy the smaller group setting as this allows more interaction with the speakers and the other participants and allows you to get all your questions answered.

How can I get another copy of my attendance certificate for my records?

Certificates are issued at each seminar. If you have misplaced your certificate, just e-mail us at jolsen.ivseminars@gmail.com or call us at 1-800-487-5650 and we will get another copy to you.

Will the CE hours be accepted by my state board?

International Veterinary Seminars is an American Association of State Boards RACE approved provider of CE which is now accepted by all state boards throughout the US and Canada. Please call your state board or our office with questions. We are provider #13. We are also an approved provider in New York State.
Please click here for further information from the AAVSB RACE program.
