IVS is heading back to Australia again in 2024.

This is our 4th tour of Australia.  IVS founder, Dr. Dougald Gilmore grew up in Australia and has designed this tour to provide you with an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. We will travel to four different areas in Australia so as to give you a glimpse of life downunder.  Melbourne, Uluru and Alice Springs, the tropical far north (including the great barrier reef) and Sydney.

Experience the nightly arrival of the “Little Penguins” on Phillip Island

    • Tour the Opera House and cruise the Sydney Harbor

    • Visit Taronga Zoo and meet the veterinary staff

Please note that the adventure begins on Tuesday, September 17, 2024  in Melbourne. 

For this adventure: we ask that you call our office at 800-487-5650 to book your trip – including the tour and the intra-country flights.

Group pricing:     US$8400.00 pp/based on double occupancy

Does not include international flights- you can purchase your own flights to Melbourne or thru Cruises etc. Check with Cruises etc to confirm that you are arriving in Melbourne at the correct time so as to be able to join the tour.

Also does not include flights within Australia: US $1220 per person pp. 

Melbourne to Alice Springs/Ayers Rock, Ayers Rock to Cairns and Cairns to Sydney.  Cruises etc will handle your bookings for these flights.

Deposits: $450.00 pp at the time of booking. Non-refundable.

  • Deposits: 25% on April 28, 2024

  • Total payment due by June 19, 2024.

Cancellations:

  • If you cancel prior to April 29: loss of initial deposits

  • Between April 29 – June 18, 2024: Loss of 25% deposit

  • Between June 19 – July 18, 2024: loss of 75% of tour price

  • From July 19, 2024: loss of 100% of tour price.

CE Hours

On our previous trips to Australia, it became very obvious to us that everyone had ventured there to explore all that Australia has to offer and with all the experiences that were included, this meant that there was very little time left over for any RACE approved CE.  So with all the experiences we are offering this time, we have decided to not include any RACE approved CE. But we have again included meeting the veterinary staff at Healesville and also at the Tarongo Zoo as they were two very popular experiences on our last trip. 

So come join us and experience my home country- you will come back wondering why I ever left there!

Reserving Rooms

We reserve rooms starting the day prior to the seminar and ending on the last seminar day.  However, if you need additional days, we will work with the hotel to accommodate your request based on availability.

Getting Confirmation

After you submit this hotel request form, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your request for the hotel accommodations.  Please note that this does not confirm your hotel accommodations.

After processing the request, our office will e-mail you an actual hotel confirmation letter which will confirm your stay with the hotel.   You are not confirmed until you receive this hotel confirmation. Please check the details when you receive this confirmation.

Passport requirements for international travel

Please note that all passengers traveling by air to or from the United States will be required to hold a valid passport. This requirement applies to all passengers, including U.S. citizens, traveling to and from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.

When planning international travel, please be sure that you are in possession of all required documents for both outbound and return flights. Remember to allow ample time for acquiring official travel documents.
